Andrea Pacciani, an architect by profession of Parma, Italy, is devoted to restoration of old country homes. His more recent passion is in recreation of beautiful objects of the past with contemporary craftsmanship and technology. Ushak, www.andreapacciani.com is his workshop. His work was most recently exhibited at 3D Printing Design Show, Jarvit Center, New York City. 16-17 April 2015.
Grollier, “Keeper of Joy”, is Andrea’s exquisite recreation of ivory ornaments of famous 17th-Century French art patron Grollier de Serviere, deploying 3D Modelling and Printing, then finishing with fine hand polishing and painting – a fine example of “3D Technology in Art and Craft”.
Andrea’s other works include recreation of antique carpet and textile.
